- What are Amazon product validation tools?
- Amazon product validation tools help sellers test whether a niche is worth launching into before spending on samples, inventory, or ads. PrepMonster is a free set of browser-based Amazon product validation tools that grade Helium 10 Xray, search volume, and keyword exports locally on your device.
- Is PrepMonster official Helium 10?
- No. PrepMonster is an independent third-party analyzer tool. We are not owned, endorsed, or operated by Helium 10. We may earn a commission if you sign up through our Helium 10 affiliate links, at no additional cost to you. Helium 10 is a trademark of its respective owner. PrepMonster only analyzes CSV/XLSX files that you export from Helium 10. We do not connect to Helium 10's API or services.
- Is the verdict final?
- No. PrepMonster verdicts are rule-based screening aids, not launch recommendations or business advice. A pass does not guarantee profit; a fail does not mean a keyword or product will lose money. Market conditions, sourcing, pricing, ads, listing quality, and competition change constantly. You are responsible for your own product decisions. Always combine PrepMonster with your own research, manual Helium 10 checks, and professional judgment before launching.
- Is my data uploaded to a server?
- CSV/XLSX analysis runs entirely in your browser for both tools. PrepMonster does not upload your chart or Xray export to any server. The only exception is optional AI insight on the Search Volume Analyzer, which sends a compact summary JSON, never the full 3-year chart.
- What criteria are checked in PrepMonster vs manually in Helium 10?

- What is the Search Volume Analyzer?
- PrepMonster's Search Volume Analyzer reads a Helium 10 Black Box 3-year search volume chart CSV/XLSX in your browser and returns a rule-based keyword verdict: estimated monthly volume, YoY trend, seasonality, launch-window notes, and 8 qualifying criteria. Optional AI insight sends a compact summary only, never the raw chart.
- What file do I need for the Search Volume Analyzer?
- Start with the search volume graph in Helium 10's Black Box. Export the 3-year chart as CSV/XLSX with Time and Search Volume columns, then upload it to the Search Volume Analyzer.
- Does AI insight send my chart to a server?
- Only if you click Get AI Insight and enter your passphrase. That sends a compact summary JSON to PrepMonster's API, never the full 3-year chart. The search volume analysis itself stays in your browser.
Xray Analyzer
- What export file do I need for the Xray Analyzer?
- You need a Helium 10 Xray search-results export file (CSV/XLSX) from an Amazon keyword search. In Helium 10, run Xray on your target keyword, then export the Amazon search results as a CSV/XLSX file.
- What columns are required in the Xray file?
- The export must include these columns: Display Order, ASIN, Brand, Price $, ASIN Sales, ASIN Revenue, Seller Country/Region, Ratings, Review Count, Review velocity, Weight, and Dimensions.
- How many products are analyzed?
- PrepMonster analyzes up to 15 products using the Display Order column in your Xray export: the top Amazon search results Helium 10 recorded (positions 1–15).
- What if my file has fewer than 15 products?
- If your export has fewer than 15 products, PrepMonster analyzes all available rows and displays a warning that fewer than 15 were found.
